Finally, I start.

OK, I've had this idea for a bit now, and to be honest it's about time that I stopped mimbling around and actually did it.

Basically, you see a lot of charts and so on and, if you're anything like me, you find yourself disagreeing with them. And you realise that there's a hell of a lot of songs that you want to write about because (a) no one else would properly bother to write about them, (b) if they did, they'd be rude about them and/or (c) even if they did, then they just wouldn't write what you thought, or they wouldn't put it as well.

So I decided to do something about it. The Top 100 Greatest Singles of...May 1994 to May 2004.

So why those dates, then? Because, dear reader, I want to write about the first ten years of me being a music fan. To semi-contextualise it, I was born in March 1982, so we're basically talking about my teens, and my Student years. I've just been a while with the actual doing this.

FYI, My name's Pete, I'm a news reporter, I'm originally from Wales, I grew up in Witney, Oxfordshire, went to the University of Liverpool, and currently live in South Essex.

Righty-ho, enough of my yakking. Let's Boogie.
